On Saturday, March 18, National Geographic Explorer Jenny Adler will take viewers into the field with her on the Ichetucknee River in Florida. This spring-fed river will be holding a freshwater turtle census, offering a unique opportunity for National Geographic’s Facebook audience to experience a live science project while hearing from a National Geographic Explorer about the importance of STEM education. The Facebook Live is part of Microsoft’s “Make What’s Next Campaign”, which will include six other events happening simultaneously across the country at select Microsoft Store locations. Each in-store event will include a two-hour STEM workshop featuring a National Geographic Explorer. The full schedule and registration information can be found here. Participating Explorers include Jedidah Isler, Cristina Mittermeier, Paul Nicklen, Constance Adams, Tan Le, Tierney Thys, and Arianna Soldati.
