National Geographic won 17 Webby Awards, recognizing a wide range of work across numerous digital platforms.

The wins highlight the breadth of National Geographic's storytelling platforms, from social media stories to virtual reality experiences, like National Geographic's First-Ever 3D VR Filmed in Space, which won the Webby People’s Voice Award for Best Narrative Experience.

Other National Geographic projects were also recognized by awards won by the National Geographic Society and partners at McCann NY and Black Dot Films.

Best User Experience: Apps, Mobile, and Voice - Apps & Mobile Features

Considered the internet’s highest honor, the Webby Awards received nearly 13,000 entries this year, from 50 states and 70 countries, and 3 million votes were cast for the People's Voice Awards. All nominees are eligible to win the Webby Award, selected by the International Academy of Digital Arts and Sciences, and the Webby People's Voice Award, voted on by consumers.
